Evolution X
They have been spotted in Germany, chased down California streets, and spied on test tracks from here to Japan. It won’t be long and the promise will be fulfilled.
The last Mistubishi Lancer Evolution was the 2006 IX. It was the last one to use the venerable 4G63 2.0 liter engine that has been the backbone of this successful rally car for nearly 20 years.
The new Evolution will have an all aluminum 2 liter engine (4B11) and the most sophisticated drive-train ever offered on a production car. The previous models had ACD (active center differentials) and, in the UK and Japan, AYC (active yaw control). The next version will have all that and much more with active braking and super AYC. You will have to work very hard to lose control in this new version of the Evolution.
