Top of Mount Washington – Rally Style

Mount Washington is the highest spot east of the Mississippi.  It has some of the harshest weather in the U.S. and, in fact, has a weather station on top chained to the mountain.  When Pratt and Whitney needs to test jet engines in adverse weather conditions up they go to Mount Washington.

Here is an impressive video one of the readers of this blog pointed me to showing the Red Bull STi car climbing the mountain.

    Jim, Mt Washington is the highest peak in the Northeast at 6,288 ft. Mt Mitchell, in North Carolina, is the highest point east of the Mississippi at 6,684 ft. Just Sayin’
