It was time to leave TX and head to Santa Fe, NM, but NM was still having a tough time with wildfires and so we headed to Colorado Springs for a while.

You get used to the view of the road which often appears to go on forever.

Kind of like some of the trains we saw. This one is a container train.

It does seem to go on forever.

The containers are full of goods needed somewhere else.

They are hauled along by five engines.
We drove along and spotted and interesting place that used cars to attract attention.

Across the street was this hot rod at home.

Back on the road it was us chasing a vanishing point that went on and on.

We pulled off at a scenic vista…

Then back to the vanishing point.

An ancient volcano off in the distance…

Windmills put in place to generate electricity.

Well, one of four were turning.

Back to the vanishing point. We would be in the Springs soon.
