It is December and time for the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) trade show in Indianapolis, Indiana. Next week we grab a flight to Indy and attend the greatest gathering of racing’s participants, sponsors, along with exhibitions of the many thousands of the companies that provide for the racing industry world-wide.
Pri’s mission statement is as follows:
…to fuel the passion for motorsports, as it builds, promotes, and protects the racing community by:
Representing the interests of the racers, enthusiasts, builders, tracks, sanctioning bodies, and businesses of the PRI community. Protecting motorsports through legislative action, legal support, and advocacy. Producing world-class trade events and media. Providing market research, education, and best practices in motorsports business and racing technology. Encouraging and recruiting new racers and professionals in motorsports.
The annual PRI Trade Show features over 1,000 companies exhibiting in more than 3,400 booths and showcasing the latest products, services, machinery, simulation and testing technologies, and trailers for the racing industry at the Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium in downtown Indianapolis. Launched in 1988, the Show encompasses all forms of racing and attracts attendees from all 50 states and across the globe, including professional race teams, retail shops, warehouse distributors, engine builders, fabricators, dealers, installers, jobbers and media.
I always look forward to attending this show and sharing with you my experiences and some of the latest in motorsports trends, products, and services.
See you next week… Jim’s Garage
