Haas has a place in what is arguably the most challenging racing series in the world, Formula 1. While it has been often in the bottom ranks, this year Haas has shown itself to be the kind of team you better not take your eyes off of. Its team has qualified as high as 8th and its race finish best results has been a fourth place. Just shy of a place on the podium. Even with four DNFs it ranks 8th in the constructure’s standings.
Haas Automation Inc., is the largest machine tool builder in the western world. It always has something new and exciting at the PRI show. Haas has partnered with Phillips to power an additive hybrid machine that not only does 3D material printing, but also performs 5 axis milling.

Hunter is well known for their product line of tire changer machines, tire balancer machines and their alignment system. While you may assume that is only applicable to daily driver vehicles, you should think again. Check out this Corvette on the alignment rack.

Notice how the alignment heads attach to the tire – not the wheel.

The turn plates will lock or unlock as the alignment process needs from the console.

Notice the bump in the rack just ahead of the rear wheels. This is how much higher the scissor lift’s rams are which allows the rack to come down much lower than ever before. This, along with the longer ramps available, allow lower cars to drive up onto the ramp without scraping.

Their alignment system is powder coated, too.
