Phil Hill Dies

Sad to see Phil go. He was always one of my racing heroes. I think the guys from Phil’s era were some of the best drivers ever to sit in a cockpit. The did more types of racing in more types of cars. Plus, the race cars were much harder to drive than today’s machines, much less reliable, courses were truly hazardous and there was a lot more real racing and much less of the follow-the-next-car thing we see too today. Plus I love the look of the old cars in the pre-aerodynamics age.
