This weekend there is a car show at the State Fair Grounds in Raleigh, NC where lovers of classic hot rods gather to show off their cars, sell their cars, as well as sell replacement and custom parts.
Like most events of this kind you can find some great looking hot rods, restorations, and customs. Here are a few of some that caught my eye:
This Chevy reminded me of the movie Two Lane Blacktop where James Taylor, Dennis Wilson, and Laurie Bird drove across the country in an odd race with Warren Oats.
One of the most interesting forms of hot rods is the Rat Rod. This style often looks unfinished even though it is a completed project.
For those of you that like the traditional style of hot rod there was this impressive looking Impala:
The trunk must have been fantastic in the days of drive-in movies where people often avoided paying by hiding in the trunk.
